El Fanadir

El Fanadir means "rocks on top of the reef" and this is the longest reef of Hurghada.
It is a typical wall dive, with a plateau that starts at 12 metres and slopes down to 20 metres followed by a drop off.

Because of its length the dive site is divided in El Fanadir North and South. On the wall you can search for nudibranche, scorpion fish, stone fish, different kinds of moray eels and octopus. On the plateau keep an eye out for big rays. Down the drop off big groupers hang around and who knows something else big might pass by. Both sites are very rich on marine life and activity. The top part of the reef is very colourful.
The current is usually 'absent to mild' and often perfect for an easy lazy drift dive.

This is an excellent site to make a night dive. You will have a good chance to spot Spanish dancers.
